Welcome to FiCare, Healthcare's Financial Partner. We are excited about our new name, confident that this change will contribute to the continued growth and success of our credit union. We have prepared answers to frequently asked questions to explain why we changed our name and what you can expect.

Why did the credit union change its name?

The name "St. Joseph's Hospital Federal Credit Union" worked well for many years. However, it no longer accurately describes the individuals who can join our credit union. Our new name – FiCare – aligns with our vision to offer the many benefits of membership to the healthcare community.

Who determined the need for a new name?

Simply put, the credit union's Board of Directors, senior management, and you – our members.

Why "FiCare"?

This memorable name combines the essence of financial expertise with personalized care. It captures the essence of what we want to be known for, and it expresses our promise to members – to be Healthcare's Financial Partner. Everyday people trust and rely on healthcare professionals, like you, to care for their needs. We are committed to bringing that same trust, dedication, passion, and skill to caring for your financial needs. As a member of the FiCare family, you can be confident you will receive the financial products, education, and expertise you want and deserve.

Is this still a "Federal Credit Union"?

Yes. However, you will most often see the credit union referred to as FiCare, Healthcare's Financial Partner.

Is the credit union in financial trouble? Have you been merged or sold?

No. We are the same credit union with the same employees and Board of Directors as before. We are proud to say that our credit union has remained financially strong and safe. We just have a new name.

How will this name change affect my account, checks, credit cards, debits cards, etc.?

Your account number and information will stay the same. Please continue to use your checks until you run out, and your debit and credit cards until they expire. FiCare will appear on any future orders that you receive.

Will this affect my payroll or direct deposit?

Your routing and account number will not change. So your direct deposits will post as usual.

Do I need to notify payees of the change if I'm set up on Bill Pay or automatic payment?

No. You may conduct your online bill payment transactions as usual. Automatic payments will continue to process normallly.

What happens to the credit union's mobile banking app?

There will be an update to our current app. After you accept the update, you will see that our app reflects our new name and look, but it will function the same.

What happens to my Online Banking and the website?

The name and address of our website have changed to reflect our new name. Our new web address is FiCareFCU.org. We will continue to redirect you to our new site when you enter the old address. However, please update or save the new site as a "Favorite." Your Online Banking information and its functions will remain the same.

Will the new name show up as a new listing on my credit report or affect my credit score in any way?

FiCare FCU will be listed on your credit report. This will not affect your credit score.

Does this name change affect the NCUA coverage for my accounts?

No. The NCUA insurance coverage is not affected by this change.

Who can join FiCare?

Employees, retirees, and affiliates of BayCare Health Systems and Concordia Lutheran Ministries and their immediate family members can join the credit union.
