2026 Annual Meeting
The 2026 Annual Meeting of FiCare Federal Credit Union will be held in a hybrid environment on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 4:00pm EST.
This year's annual meeting will be held online using Microsoft Teams (log-in instructions are included below). You may use your computer's audio for the meeting, or call in directly. You may also choose to visit us in person at FiCare’s Wesley Chapel or FiCare’s Gainesville location.
Attending the meeting gives you the chance to exercise your rights as a member-owner of the Credit Union. In addition to showcasing the Credit Union’s 2025 financial performance, accomplishments, and featured products, we will be electing two (2) Board Members. You must be a member of the credit union to participate.
For information to all members concerned, procedures for the nomination and election of officials as prescribed in Article VI, Sections 1&2 of our current Bylaws are as follows:
At least thirty (30) days prior to each annual meeting, the chairperson shall appoint a nominating committee. It shall be the duty of the nominating committee to nominate at least one member for each vacancy, including any unexpired term vacancy, for which elections are being held.
After the nominations of the nominating committee have been placed before the members, the president shall call for nominations from those virtually present on the meeting.
All elections shall be determined by plurality vote except where there is only one nominee for the office. No nominations shall be made from the floor (virtual presence) unless sufficient nominations have not been made by the nominating committee or by virtual nomination to provide at least one nominee for each position to be filled. When nominations are closed, the vote shall be taken and tallied and the results announced.

Board of Director Election Vote
The nominating committee has recommended and selected the following individuals for positions on the Board of Directors of FiCare Federal Credit Union.
Lauren Watts: Lauren is a Director of IT Applications at BayCare Health System. She began her career at BayCare in 2013 in the clinical space working in the lab and has since grown into a healthcare IT leader through a variety of progressive roles. Throughout her career, Lauren has supported a broad range of clinical, financial and administrative areas.
Lauren holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences from the University of South Florida. In 2022, she further strengthened her leadership and delivery expertise by earning her PMP (Project Management Professional) and ITIL certifications.
Outside of work, Lauren is an active member of the Junior League of Tampa, serving on the Executive Board. She enjoys traveling with her family, spending time outdoors, and most of all being a proud mom to her three little girls.
Eileen Handberg: Eileen Handberg is currently a partner in TeleBP.com a telemedicine practice focused on managing hypertension. She began her career in Gainesville, Florida as a new nursing graduate at Alachua General Hospital and joined the credit union on her first day as an employee. She left AGH after working in the ICU's, ER and Helicopter program and attended the University of Florida where she completed her Masters and PhD.
Eileen worked for 38 years, retiring in mid-2025 after 38 years of service serving as Faculty in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine earning the title of Professor of Medicine and providing patient care as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and Director of the Clinical Trials Program. Eileen has been a member of the credit union through its many transitions and joined the Board in 2024. She is currently serving as Chair of the Supervisory Committee.
